A few our customers have experienced an issue with Office 365 whereby their user names are being displayed as i:0#.f|membership| This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. instead of their display/proper name.

Microsoft have confirmed this is a known issue with the timer job that is supposed to update the names in your SharePoint site collections with the information in the User Profile Application.
